Job Description


Responsibilities

**4 Week rotation, every other Friday, every 4th Saturday and always off on Monday.**

 

The Emergency Med Tech (EMT) is responsible for the ground/air transportation of the patient and/or the Transport Team in both emergency and non-emergency situations, while ensuring the safety of the patient, team and public at large. The EMT is also responsible for the maintenance of all regulatory documentation relating to ground and/or air transportation, and assures all vehicles and transport equipment are maintained in a clean and safe operating condition. These duties may vary, but will not exceed those constraints placed upon you by the United States Department of Transportation Services and the State of Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services.

 

**This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors.  You must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record**


Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Kentucky or Indiana EMT (State) license at time of hire.
  • Must obtain additional EMT (State) license, KY or IN, within six months of hire.

Desired:

  • One year EMT 
  • Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician program
